Bespoke

I am always available if you would like to chat to me directly about a bespoke headpiece. If geography allows we can meet in person and you can try a selection of styles to see what you like and what suits you and I can look at your outfit and together we can come up with some ideas. If you have a definite idea of what you want then that’s great, otherwise I can sketch out what we’ve discussed and we can gradually refine the designs until you have exactly what you want. I’ll then cost out the materials needed and give you a quote. Once you’ve agreed the quote I will need a 50% non-returnable deposit before I can start. I will always consult you at every stage of the process but once the hat is made then it cannot be returned. If you change your mind about the design during the making process then I might have to charge extra. 

A bespoke piece will always be more expensive than a ready made piece but it is being designed to your exact specifications. If you are working to a budget then let me know because there are always things I can do to trim the cost in terms of which materials and fabrics are used and I am more than happy to talk about this and come up with a solution. Another option which works if either budget or time is tight is to add to a ready made piece – feathers or flowers to match your outfit are usually easy tweaks. 

I usually need a minimum of 6-8 weeks to complete a bespoke headpiece but this will always depend on what materials need to be ordered and where they’re coming from. If I happen to have the materials in stock then that can cut down on time and cost. The more time you can give me the better. 

If you don’t live close enough for us to get together in person then it is entirely possible to go through exactly the same process outlined above but using Zoom, FaceTime or even just emails and photographs.
